The Legal Bit

 

Policy: It is The Green Shopping Guide's policy to treat our customers in exactly in the way we like to be treated ourselves.

Data & Privacy: The  information collected from you at the time you place an order will be stored in our secure database and is used purely to carry out your instructions and to contact you regarding your listings. There are no circumstances under which this information might be passed to a third party.

Supply: We undertake to supply you with the services described in these Web Pages or in our brochure within 5 working days of processing your payment.

Contact: We will only contact you in connection with your listings and keep you well informed should we have any difficulties providing you with the specific listing ordered. 

Guarantee: In the light of the forgoing you will appreciate we feel confident that we can unequivocally guarantee your total satisfaction with our services. Again you should note that your statutory rights are not affected (more probably enhanced).

Refunds: In the event of late delivery of service or dissatisfaction with the service supplied and a replacement is not acceptable, we regret that a refund can only be given if the problem is due to a fault of The Green Shopping Guide.  If initial payment was by Credit Card, then the refund will be made back to your Credit Card Company. If however payment was by cheque, then the refund will be posted to you by cheque promptly.  Our major concern is to maintain our happy relationship with you our customer. 

Payment:  Payment online is through our PayPal Business account which is totally secure. Alternatively you can send a cheque payable to The Green Shopping Guide to the address found at the bottom of this page.

VAT: Currently The Green Shopping Guide is exempt from VAT within the UK.

Complaints: Clearly we take any complaint very seriously and would expect to contact you as soon as possible.

Disclaimer:By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are agreeing to the following:

• Your business,organisation or charity tries to make a  positive difference to the environment and society
• Under no circumstances do you test any of your products on animals
• You try and ensure the majority of your energy needs are met by renewable energy
• You try and increase public awareness of alternative products and services that do not have a negative impact on the environment or humanity
• You offer your products and services at fair, affordable prices
• You do not use harmful chemicals in your products or in the provision of your services (where possible) 
• You provide products and services that are environmentally friendly and ethically sound

If any company that is listed on The Green Shopping Guide is found to have broken the terms of agreement above, The Green Shopping Guide reserves the right to terminate the listings with no right to refund your payment. We also reserve the right to edit or alter listings at our discretion. A statement of reasons will be provided on request.

Final Note: Like many people, we shy away from the legal technicalities but unfortunately they are sometimes necessary. We apologise if some of our terms seem unfair but they are necessary to ensure that the quality of the businesses, organisations and charities listed on this site remain high. It is also necessary to ensure a fair listing policy. We hope that you will enjoy working with The Green Shopping Guide.
